The Role Summary
Account Handlers are responsible for the handling of regular customer enquiries, orders, and accounts on a day-to-day basis. Sales & Hire Account Handlers are directly responsible for generating income in line with departmental budgets and goals. The team is expected to work together (and with the wider organisation) to generate profit, repeat custom and new business.

Experience in the industry is desired, and we welcome applications from those in our industry, but it is not necessary. The successful candidate should have the competency and confidence to carry out the duties of an account handler and demonstrate transferable skills and/or experience in a previous/similar role.  

We work across various sites so location can be discussed during the application process.    

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

As part of the team, you will…

  • Liaise with customers, clients, and colleagues in a helpful and courteous manner.
  • With support from team members at level 4 and above, as required:
  • Prepare quotations, confirmations, pick lists, purchase orders, stock requests, and invoices & credit notes.
  • Coordinate the booking and availability of products for Sales & Hire via d&b solutions asset management system.
  • Keep all d&b solutions systems and information up to date in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Handle the delivery of orders in collaboration with d&b solutions operational warehouse teams.
  • Handle any after sales or quality issues should they arise.
  • Handle incoming orders and enquiries sent via d&b solutions e-commerce platforms and inbound enquiry channels
  • Support junior Grades Sales and Hire with e-commerce duties
  • Ensure that all company processes and procedures are always adhered to,
  • Continually learn about the company’s current activities, products, systems, processes, and technical expertise to deal effectively with customers.
  • Work to generate profit in line with departmental targets and budgets.
  • Work to generate repeat business from the existing client base.

Technical Skills

  • Previous experience within a sales role
  • Previous experience of quotation preparation, pricing, and cost management
  • Capable financial acumen
  • Previous experience of order delivery coordination within a warehouse-based rental and/or retail environment
  • Proven IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel), Sales Force (desirable), and order management hire & sales systems.
  • Intermediate+ technical knowledge of entertainment technology products and solutions, and their application
