As a Marketing Specialist, working within a matrix environment, you will have responsibilities to the head of department for execution of marketing activities. You will focus on lead generation and customer retention activities, with hands-on delivery of your day-to-day responsibilities covering multichannel marketing campaigns, social media, email marketing, automation, content creation and events, as well as brand activities and sales enablement.  You will also support our digital strategy through SEO, website content creation and management.   

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be a self-starter, motivated and eager to own projects as well as wanting to work in a fast-paced environment, working with internal and external stakeholders. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Multichannel marketing: working with the Head of Marketing and Head of Department to plan and execute marketing campaigns across various media platforms.  
  • Content Creation and Management: working with internal/external stakeholders for various marketing channels including emails, blogs, social media, and websites. Including ideas and generation of video content. 
  • Marketing collateral: developing and maintaining marketing collateral, such as brochures, presentations, and product sheets, ensuring that all content is consistent with brand guidelines. 
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Use CRM tool to create and execute campaigns as well as track customer interactions, leads, and sales opportunities. Execute strategies to nurture and retain customer relationships. 
  • Support the Head of Marketing with the implementation of website content and promotions including Search Engine Optimisation, support for social activities and Search Engine Advertising. 
  • Event Coordination: Organise and coordinate marketing events such as trade shows, internal events and seminars. Manage events’ logistics from ideas, invitations, all the way through to delivery. 
  • Analyse campaigns results and digital performance, track results and report to generate and share insights, and use data to optimise campaign performance.  
  • Provide support across the team. Work as part of a team to support the department goals. 
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, market opportunities, and customer needs across various industries. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge in diverse markets, especially within your own specialist area. 
  • You will have strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to navigate the matrix environment effectively, collaborating and coordinating with multiple stakeholders. 

Technical & Essential Skills

  • Expected to learn and gain a good understanding of your own specialist area, the specific aims and objectives, how they operate and the go to market brands. 
  • Previous experience in marketing with strong experience with multichannel marketing campaign management and execution. 
  • Strong experience in audience management, segmentation and CRM tools including email marketing platforms. 
  • Strong reporting and analytics experience.  
  • Excellent writing and communication skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, and online applications. (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, etc.) 
  • University degree level qualification or equivalent, related to Marketing, Communications or Media required.

Desirable Skills 

  • Knowledge of Adobe Cloud software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) 
  • Knowledge of video software 
  • Experience in working on WordPress and basic understanding of HTML
