Privacy Policy | Legal Notice | Contact | © 2021 d&b solutions GmbH & Co. KG. All rights reserved.
The protection and security of personal data is an important concern of d&b. Therefore, d&b conducts its activities in accordance with the applicable laws for the protection of personal data and data security. This privacy policy informs you what information d&b collects, how d&b uses and safeguards it, and to whom d&b may share it.
With this information on data protection we would therefore like to inform you when we store which data and for what purpose we use it - naturally in compliance with the applicable data protection regulations.
Should you have any further questions regarding the handling of your personal data, please do not hesitate to contact our data protection officer, whose contact details you will find below.
The constant technological development, changes in our services or the legal situation as well as other reasons may require adjustments to our data protection information. We therefore reserve the right to change this data protection declaration at any time and ask you to inform yourself regularly about the current status.
Unless otherwise stated in the following sections, no personal data is collected, processed or used when using our websites.
When you access our webpages, our web servers automatically collect general information. This includes the type of web browser, the operating system used, the domain name of the Internet service provider, the IP address of the computer used, the website from which you visit us, the pages you visit on our site and the date and duration of your visit.
This data cannot be used by us to identify the individual user. We only evaluate the information statistically and use it exclusively to improve the attractiveness, contents and functionalities of our websites.
The term personal data is defined in the German Federal Data Protection Act. According to this, these are individual details about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your real name, your address, your telephone number or your date of birth.
In the basic EU data protection regulation (DSGVO), personal data are defined as follows:
All information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter "data subject"); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.
Insofar as we obtain your consent for the processing of personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing of your personal data.
When processing your personal data to fulfil a contract between you and d&b solutions, Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures.
Insofar as the processing of personal data is required to fulfil a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR serves as the legal basis.
If processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the first-mentioned interest, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR serves as the legal basis for processing.
The personal data of the person concerned will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply. Furthermore, data may be stored if this has been provided for by the European or national legislator in EU regulations, laws or other provisions to which the person responsible is subject. The data will also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract.
Personal data is only collected if you provide it voluntarily, for example to carry out an order, a survey, a competition or a registration for personalised services. There you will be informed about the intended purpose of processing and, if necessary, asked for your consent to storage.
The personal data collected within the framework of our websites will only be used without your consent for order processing or processing your enquiries and, if necessary, passed on to the responsible company. Only with your consent will your data be used in a centrally managed customer and prospective customer database managed under the responsibility of d&b solutions, and your data will be merged at d&b solutions. The use of this data is restricted to purposes of advertising and market and opinion research. You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future.
Your data is encrypted before transmission and processing in order to protect it from access by unauthorised persons. Please note that unencrypted e-mails are not transmitted with access protection.
Your data will not be sold, rented or made available to third parties in any other way than described here. Personal data will only be transferred to state institutions and authorities within the framework of mandatory national legislation. Our employees, agencies and dealers are bound by us to the strictest confidentiality.
You can contact us via our e-mail address or the contact form. The personal data transmitted to us in this way will of course only be used for the purpose for which you made them available to us when contacting us.
Your enquiry via the contact form will be forwarded directly to the d&b office in your country of residence, according to the mandatory field of the location of your company.
If we use our contact form to request information that is not required to establish contact, we have always marked it as optional. These details serve us to specify your inquiry and to improve the processing of your request. A communication of this information takes place expressly on voluntary basis and with your consent. If this involves information on communication channels (e.g. e-mail address, telephone number), you also agree that we may contact you via this communication channel in order to respond to your request.
You can of course revoke this consent at any time in the future. Please contact our data protection officer, whose contact details you will find below.
We will not transfer your data to third parties outside the d&b Group, unless we are legally obliged to do so, or the transfer of data is necessary for the performance of the contractual relationship, or you have given your express prior consent to the transfer of your data. External service providers and partner companies only receive your data if this is necessary to process their request. In these cases, however, the scope of the transmitted data is limited to the required minimum. As far as our service providers come into contact with your personal data, we ensure that they comply with the regulations of the data protection laws in the same way. Please also note the respective data protection information of the providers. The respective service provider is responsible for the contents of external services, whereby we check the services within the scope of reasonability for compliance with legal requirements.
Data transmission to external service providers (processors)
Your data will be passed on to service partners if they work on our behalf and support d&b solutions in the provision of their services.
Processing of your personal data by contracted service providers takes place within the scope of order processing in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
The aforementioned service providers only have access to such personal information as is necessary for the performance of their respective activities. These service providers are prohibited from disclosing your personal information or using it for other purposes, in particular for their own advertising purposes.
Where external service providers come into contact with your personal data, we have taken legal, technical and organisational measures and carried out regular checks to ensure that they also comply with the applicable data protection regulations.
Your personal data will not be passed on commercially to other companies.
When collecting personal data using website optimisation tools, we refer to our legitimate interest pursuant to Article 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR in conjunction with Recital no. 47, according to which direct mail generally constitutes a legitimate interest. Your interests, fundamental rights and freedoms do not outweigh our interest in advertising, as we provide you with comprehensive information about data collection within the framework of our privacy policy and you have the option of opting out (via link or browser settings) at any time. In addition, we only use pseudonymous tracking.

A cookie is a small piece of data (text file) that a website – when visited by a user – asks your browser to store on your device in order to remember information about you, such as your language preference or login information. Those cookies are set by us and called first-party cookies. We also use third-party cookies – which are cookies from a domain different than the domain of the website you are visiting – for our advertising and marketing efforts. More specifically, we use cookies and other tracking technologies for the following purposes:
These cookies allow us to count visits and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. If you do not allow these cookies we will not know when you have visited our site, and will not be able to monitor its performance.

This website uses Google Analytics. In accordance with the agreement between Google and the Hamburg Representative for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Google Analytics may be used in accordance with data protection regulations and without objection under certain conditions. In particular, we would like to point out that on this website Google Analytics has been extended to include the IP masking function "_gat._anonymizeIp" in order to guarantee anonymous recording of IP addresses via the Google Tag Manager.
Please also note the following information on the use of Google Analytics:
Google Analytics uses cookies which are stored on your computer and which enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will generally be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. However, by activating IP anonymisation on this website, your IP address will be shortened by Google in advance within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA where it will be shortened. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity and providing other services to website operators relating to website activity and internet usage.
The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.
Once remarketing and promotional reporting features are enabled in Analytics, Analytics collects demographic and interest data from the following sources:
DoubleClick cookie: Analytics collects all demographic and interest information made available by the cookie when you use the web browser.
Android Advertising ID: When the analytics tracking code is implemented in an Android app, the device's advertising ID is collected. Analytics generates an identifier based on the ID. This identifier contains information about demographics and interests resulting from user app activity and is used to enhance the attractiveness of our app.
iOS Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA): When the analytics tracking code is implemented in an iOSApp, the device's IDFA is captured. In Analytics, an identifier is generated based on the IDFA. This identifier contains information about demographics and interests resulting from user app activity and is used to enhance the attractiveness of our app.
Analytics cannot collect demographic and interest data if the DoubleClick cookie or device advertising ID is not present or no activity profile is included.
You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. In addition, you can prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) and Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link.
Alternatively, you can also prevent the collection by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie is set to prevent your data from being collected in the future when you visit this website: Deactivate Google Analytics. The opt-out cookie applies only to this browser and only to this domain. If you delete your cookies in this browser, you have to click this link again.
As a smartphone or tablet user, you can prevent Google Analytics from collecting cookies by clicking the following link. An opt-out cookie is set to prevent your information from being collected in the future when you visit this website: Disable Google Analytics.

This website uses the function "Google Signals". The Google Signals advertising feature is designed to provide additional information about users of the site who use different devices. Google uses data from users who have signed in to their Google Account and enabled the "personalized advertising" option. This information will be used to provide aggregate and anonymous statistics about the behavior of users of this site across multiple devices. No user IDs are assigned, the reports do not allow us to draw any conclusions about the identity of individual visitors.
If visitors to this website are logged into their Google account, Google may be able to identify these visitors. In addition, Google may use the user data for the display of personalised advertising if the user has previously consented to this function. If you do not wish this to happen, you can deactivate this function at any time in the Google settings. Alternatively, you can make use of the extensive opt-out option of the advertising network initiative (http://optout.networkadvertising.org/?c=1).
We use Data Studio, a service of Google Inc., USA (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, "Google") on our website.
Data Studio uses personally identifiable information provided through the other Google services mentioned here and used by us to help us create reports, graphs, and charts, and to provide us with an opportunity to collaborate with them.
For reasons of transparency, we would like to point out that we use the Google Tag Manager. The Google Tag Manager itself does not collect any personally identifiable information. The Tag Manager makes it easier for us to integrate and manage our tags. Tags are small pieces of code used, among other things, to measure traffic and visitor behavior, capture the impact of online advertising and social channels, set up remarketing and targeting, and test and optimize websites. If you have made a opt-out, the Google Tag Manager will take that opt-out into account. For more information about the Google Tag Manager, click here
