• Working with the Workshop Head you will observe deadlines and effectively manage delivery
  • Help ensure and maintain inventory accuracy and integrity through correct reporting channels
  • In coordination with your Head of Workshop, liaise with account handlers, Transport, and Operations teams to optimize service delivery.
  • Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards, and always in compliance with manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Work in harmony with peers, suppliers and outside clients to ensure smooth delivery of the whole d&b product
  • Develop knowledge and expertise and seek continuous improvement.
  • Rigging equipment is repaired, tested and supplied to client to the highest standard and within required time frame.
  • All Rigging equipment leaves the workshop safe, compliant and correctly documented where relevant.
  • Technical knowledge is regularly built upon.
  • You are seen as collaborative and reliable across all workshops and the wider delivery team.
  • A basic understanding of fault reporting and Hire Hop. 
  • Ability to read and understand manufacturer safety guidelines
  • Basic understanding of d&b reporting lines and expectation.
  • Resolve operational issues proactively and communicate clearly about stock status, delivery timelines, and potential constraints to your Workshop manager, before they escalate to all concerned stakeholders.
  • Take active participation in identifying and helping to rectify process bottlenecks and work with Workshop Manager to resolve.
  • Communicate proactively about potential constraints before they escalate. 
  • Collaborate effectively, helpfully, and professionally with the Operations teams to assist with final delivery.
  • Maintain SOPs for all Rigging workshop processes. 
  • Participate in improvement initiatives and share knowledge across workshop functions where they might be impacted.
  • Challenge poor practices that create downstream problems, even when culturally embedded. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through observation and data analysis. 
  • Good communication skills and the ability to think laterally. 
  • Embrace the need for process protocol in this fast-moving environment.
  • Experience or interest in basic mechanical theory and/or rigging theory and practice
  • Capable of clear and calm interaction with both internal and external clients with a focus on deadlines, problem solving, and client satisfaction. 
  • Basic understanding of maintenance principles
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to resolve issues at source while escalating appropriately. 
  • Ownership mentality – takes responsibility for outcomes, not just task completion. 
  • Resilience and adaptability when managing competing priorities and unexpected situations. 

    Desirable:
  • Experience in events, entertainment, or technical production industry. 
  • Familiarity with lean methodologies, visual management, or continuous improvement approaches. 
  • Previous experience of rigging used in the above industry.
