World Heart Beat: Music Academy
London, UK
The Project
Founded in 2009, World Heart Beat (WHB) is a charity, providing music education to disadvantaged children and young people.
As part of a £3.6m revamp, the academy decided to open a second centre in Battersea, to attract international artists, arts-going audiences and connect with the local community.
The Brief
The brief was to design and integrate a high-spec SLAV system to create a multi-functional venue that is both luxurious and welcoming.
The Solution
d&b solutions delivered a SLAV system across the multi-functional concert hall, industry-standard recording studios, teaching rooms, media lab, front of house and foyer – ensuring connectivity and compatibility throughout.
A control and AV distribution strategy was devised for the entire building, with refined infrastructure design for maximum flexibility and longevity. The concert hall which doubles as venue hire facility, is equipped with revolutionary d&b Soundscape with En-Scene and En-Space modules. Wireless assisted listening was also installed for an inclusive experience.
