The Project

The Club needed an updated high-spec AV system, that befitted this environment and would exceed their guests’ expectations, complement the ambience and maintain their esteemed reputation. As their events are managed by their in-house team, they needed an easy-to-use system that streamlined their operational process and empowered their staff to manage the demanding programme, without the need for a dedicated external technician.

The Brief

Due to the grade listed status of the building, all planned works needed to undergo a rigorous approval process ahead of the installation phase. As the composition of the walls are fragile in nature, it was vital that this be factored into the design process in order to protect the integrity of the Ballroom. This heavily impacted the location of the fixings, forming a key part of the delivery, as the concise placement of the technology needed to be carefully accounted for in the drawing plans.

The Solution

To minimise disruption on the venue’s busy events schedule, a very small window of only one week was available for installation works to be completed, therefore a quick turnaround was vital. The team at d&b solutions meticulously planned all aspects of the project, as there was minimal contingency should the works overrun, as the implications and disruption that any delays might cause would be significant.

Furthermore, staff training was a fundamental part of the project handover, to ensure that the entire events team were proficient in managing the system, connecting devices and troubleshooting problems should any unforeseen issues arise.
