IAAF Congress

The Project

The IAAF World Championships took place in London and was the biggest sporting event in the world for that year, achieving a Guinness World Record for over 705,000 tickets sold. Alongside the Championships, both the IAAF Congress and Gala Dinner were held in London. WL provided the technical solutions on each event.

The Brief

To transform one of the halls of Excel London in to an immersive conference environment for 800 delegates. 

The Solution

The team used a large scale print solution to create the backdrop to the set with 3 large projection volumes creating the central focus point for guests. The lighting spread far in tothe auditorium creating an immersive feel for guests with supporting audio solution.
