Health and Safety Policy

STATEMENT OF INTENT

It is the policy of d&b solutions to ensure at all times, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health safety and welfare of their employees, subcontractors, public and other people who may be affected by d&b solutions’ activities.

We are committed to the prevention of injury and ill health and the continual improvement in OH&S Management and OH&S performance which we recognise as an integral part of our service delivery and will comply with applicable legal requirements and with other requirements to which we subscribe that relate to our OH&S hazards and shall accordingly provide the time, trouble and financial resources to protect all persons affected by our operations.

To measure our performance, we have established the framework for setting, monitoring and reviewing this policy together with our OH&S Objectives – and our Performance Standards which are documented and maintained by our safety team.

We will communicate to all persons working under our control to make them aware of their individual OHAS obligations and additionally make other interested parties aware.

Our standard will be achieved by:

  • Creating and maintaining a positive health & safety culture which secures the commitment and participation of all employees and subcontractors.
  • Using legal requirements as a minimum and, where possible, will go further to safeguard the H&S of everyone.
  • Adopting a planned and systematic approach to the implementation of the Health & Safety Policy to ensure:
    • The provision of equipment and systems of work that are, so far as is reasonably practicable, safe and without risks to health.
    • Arrangements for ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, the safety and absence of risks to health in connection with the use, handling, storage and transportation of articles and substances.
    • The provision of information, instruction, supervision and training as is necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare of our workers.
    • So far as is reasonably practicable, any place of work under d&b solutions UK Limited control, including safe access and egress to and from it, will be maintained in a condition that is safe and without risks to health.
    • The provision and maintenance of a working environment that is, so far as reasonably practicable, safe, without risks to health, and adequate as regards facilities and arrangements for welfare.
  • Identifying and assessing risks associated for all activities of d&b solutions UK Limited to eliminate or control the risks, as low as is reasonably practicable.
  • Allocating adequate resources to meet the requirements of d&b solutions UK Limited Health and Safety Policy.
  • Identifying the safety elements within planned development and procurement.
