The Project

Located in the centre of Westminster, One Great George Street is a Grade II listed Edwardian building that marries tradition and innovation throughout. Boasting 21 function rooms and two fully equipped lecture theatres, this central London conference centre is the perfect venue for exceptional events.

The Brief

Managed by the venue’s dedicated in-house AV Production team, the theatre required an update of the audio-visual system to refresh the space. Key to the project specification, was the need for a flexible solution that would adapt to varying event setups hosted by the venue.

The Solution

Responsible for the design and integration, d&b solutions installed a new lighting and audio system as well as a LED wall to replace the former projection configuration.

The impressive new audio system comprises d&b audiotechnik XS speakers, Sennheiser EW-DX wireless mics and Allen and Heath SQ-5 mixing desk. A stunning 136” LG LED video wall driven by AnalogWay Zenith 200 switcher, provides a brighter, more visually dynamic viewing experience, whilst also aligning more closely with the practical needs of the theatre’s production team.

At the front of the theatre, low profile ETC ColorSource with ETC Irideon FPZ fixtures draw focus to the stage area, illuminating the lectern and top table. A dedicated lighting control desk enables rapid adjustments to ensure smooth transitions that align with the event format. Outfitted with brand new low profile display screens, guest presenters and panelists now benefit from being able to view their presentation notes displayed on screen.
